Giorno sei; oggi sono ritornata all'orfanotrofio con Nino, l'ortopedico, che ha visitato quattro bambini che avevano problemi alle articolazioni. Nino li ha visitati e ha dato un primo "risultato" e modo per "curare" queste patologie.
La prima bambina che ha visitato si chiama Mary Adoch, è una bambina affetta da spina bifida con idrocefalo. Questa bambina riceverà domani, venerdì un'operazione per il rilascio dei flessori dorsali dei piedi, cioè questa bambina non  appoggia sui piedi correttamente perché i tendini flessori e adduttori non funzionano per cui durante la sua vita stando sempre in una sola posizione questi si sono modellati e per questo si sono rovinati. Adesso si possono notare delle pieghe sui piedi di questa bimba per aver posto il piede in modo incorretto.

La seconda bambina si chiama Pasca, lei ha una paralisi cerebrale infantile, colpita anche da malaria cerebrale. Lei ha tutti i muscoli ipertonici, cioè è tutta in flessione per cui tutti i suoi arti sono rigidi e piegati. Per sistemare i suoi arti servirà molto tempo perché dovrà prima riuscire con la fisioterapia a raddrizzare gli arti ed in seguito le metteranno dei tutori per farli stabilizzare.

Il terzo bambino, Jordan ha la spina bifida. Questo bambino riesce a camminare, solo, che, anche lui crescendo ha poggiato i piedi in maniera incorretta. Anche lui ha delle pieghe sui piedi, l'ortopedico ha detto di aspettare che queste guariscano ed in seguito ci metterà il gesso per 40 giorni. Successivamente dovrà portare un plantare per tenere il piede in una corretta posizione.

L'ultima bambina, Cinzia, ha anche lei una paralisi cerebrale infantile. Qualche tempo fa questa bambina ha ricevuto un operazione da un ulteriore ortopedico, questa operazione era per il rilascio della muscolatura/ dei tendini adduttori, cioè questa bambina era bloccata con le gambe accavallate. Ora la bambina ha un simile problema ma alle mani. Una delle due mani non si apre neanche, appunto, ha una dislocazione all'altezza del pollice.

The last child, Cinzia, she aso has cerebral palsy.
